The Header

There are not-so-obvious links everywhere; text links may not appear underlined. Generally colored boxes are links.

What I'm calling, "The Header," runs along the top of the page and has icons that link to different areas of this website.

There are different headers, each with its own features and allowing access to different areas. The icons in the header may change.

Rather than plaster "Under Construction" all over the place, (or keep you in the dark about what's happening next), it'll show you what's up. Click on it now for more information.

To alternate between headers, click on the three dots that appear to the right or left of the top row of icons.

New to this site are small icons meant to tell you what to expect if a link is clicked. Here's what they mean:

Shaded icons represent areas that may not be available from the header currently in use. Or they may be planned areas with little or no content.

Next page, (this website).

Previous page, (this website).

Used for links to off-site addresses. A new window will be opened.

Animated headers have a drop-down shutter and announcement. To replay the animation, click on this icon if present. Not all headers will have it.

Opens a pop-up or a new window for on-site content -OR- for content from another website from a different ISP that I manage.

This link will change or extend the text menu on the left. An option in the extended text menu will return you to the previous menu.

A Word of Caution

This website relies heavily on flash and JavaScript, which can be processor intensive for older computers… especially true for those with Intel Celeron processors. If you find your computer is getting bogged down after awhile, or links that once worked stop working, hit your refresh/reload button or close your browser to clear its cache.

If you're interested and would like to know more, this link takes you to further explanations and details, especially production notes on how something was done, (this website).

Note that these icons may be links themselves and that not all of them have been installed yet.

E-Mail

For email, be sure to include in your subject line "RE: Artwork," or, "JJD Online," (or something like it), so your email isn't deleted unopened as spam. (Click on the little envelope to the left to open your email client with my email address, or the envelope icon at the top for additional contact information.)

I always like to hear comments and suggestions… especially if they have to do with something going wrong while you're browsing my site. Some of what's done with this website is experimental - to me anyway - and there are bound to be some cross-browser compatibility issues. Sometimes, the only way I become aware of them is by hearing from someone who's had trouble.
