"Without human subjects to paint - or in this case, to take a break from a larger, more involved project, (SEE the Sept 16th blog entry) - I return to paint still-lifes and subjects from nature. This painting's become a favorite of mine simply because it reminds me of simpler times… of waking-up at the cabin during my youth before the early morning fog had burned-off the lake."
About this Painting There are three bands of the lightest tints of white running horizontally across the painting - something which may not show-up in the photo. They represent, of course, the sky, what little can be seen through the fog of the far shore, and the water. The purpose of the painting wasn't to accurately, realistically portray the geese, so they remain 'impressionistic.'
